PURPOSE

The purpose of my part of the project was to teach the kids about compost and help them to understand the process of compost and how it works. In our group, everything went smoothly throughout the two times we had to teach the 4th graders. This ESLP was very fun because it gives us a chance to interact with kids that we usually wouldn't interact with outside of class. Also, it gives a kids a chance to have fun while learn and it gives them a hands on experience.

The first time we taught the kids it was a bit quiet and a little weird because the kids were not really interacting. After the first rotation, the kids got a little more involved with the activities and they seemed to be having fun. Towards the end of the first day teaching the kids were a little crazy and definitly happy to be there. The second day of teaching went pretty much the same as the first except that the group of the day was a little more hyped to be there and learn. The kids enjoyed the flashcard activity the most because it gives them a chance to learn and move round. I will definitly be doing biosite nex semester because I love working with the kids and seeing them be happy to learn.
