Biosite #2: Purpose

          In this semester of biosite, I chose to teach the kids about worms and their functions and how they help the earth. Both sessions of my group teaching the fourth grades went great. We had a really fun time teaching our groups and they seemed to have a great time and they also listened really well. It was great to interact with the kids because they got to learn outside of the classroom and got a hands on experience with learning about worms and all their functions.           Unlike last time, this time at the beginning the kids were very interacted withe everything we were teaching and they looked as if they really enjoyed everything.  Towards the end of the first day teaching the kids were a little crazy and definitely happy to be there. PURPOSE

The purpose of my part of the project was to teach the kids about compost and help them to understand the process of compost and how it works. In our group, everything went smoothly throughout the two times we had to teach the 4th graders. This ESLP was very fun because it gives us a chance to interact with kids that we usually wouldn't interact with outside of class. Also, it gives a kids a chance to have fun while learn and it gives them a hands on experience. The first time we taught the kids it was a bit quiet and a little weird because the kids were not really interacting. After the first rotation, the kids got a little more involved with the activities and they seemed to be having fun.
